Haha I've got too many hobbies going right now. Ms150 training, got a new mountain bike and I've got a couple batches of brew going.

All the stuff is still at powder coating so my hands are tied until then [emoji52]

Hahaha that's weird because I just checked in here yesterday for the first time in ages.

But no, LOL! I just dropped the block off at the machine shop Saturday. It's got rust on the cylinder walls and I need to see if it's gonna hone out or not.

I gotta get it running quick, we have our first kid on the way!

Well congratulations on the kid but yep you better get it running or it will sit for years like mine did after our kid lol. I actually just started working on mine again. I have to get a radio installed so I can run at TX2K18 next year. The street class requires a radio. Once it cools down I'll head back out to the track to get it dialed in. PM me your number.

I bought a virgin roller block from my machinist for $300 yesterday and he's going to start on it. I wish I had the $ to pay him to assemble it and hand me a complete short block, but I'm not sure that feasible yet. But at least we are moving in the right direction! I just need to get it running before the end of January.

If you can just have your machinist find the bearing clearances for you, then assembly should be cake.

yeah, my biggest enemy right now is time. Im travelling a lot for work and just don't have much time to disappear into the garage for hours like I used to.

Side note - How do you like your 7875? I had an On3 76/65 and sold it to go to the 78/75, just haven't had the chance to order it yet. I was having overboost issues and was half way wondering if the turbine was too small and a partial cause.

Gotcha on the time, well you have all of the parts atleast so I am sure you will get done eventually.

Its a great budget turbo and spools real quick. I see positive pressure at 2700 rpm and full boost at around 3300 rpm. I am only at 11lbs right now so I cant get give you a full review yet, but will check back in when I turn it up to 18lbs. As far as boost control I haven't had any boost creep issues, I can control boost all the way down to 4lbs with a 50mm JGS wastegate.

Well, I bought a billet 7875 yesterday. Blew my budget by a couple hundred and still owe the machine shop a little bit. Need to sell more parts! Machine shop says I should have a block this week. Here's to waiting........

Block and internals are currently at Owens for assembly. I’m very excited to be on the home stretch and getting the car going again. Unfortunately, i have another hurdle to clear. My garage filled up today:

We are on the last stage of our home remodel. Paying someone to come in and replace the carpet in the bedrooms and paint the house. What a pain! Should be done this coming week though, not too much of an inconvenience

Read the entire thread and watched a few videos as well. Nice coupe. Can't wait to see this back on the dyno now that the issues are fixed.
