well the title says it all I've got in my head to turbo my 47 dodge truck with a 230 flathead built by Mr George Ashe. It started out as a 230 he cut .095 out of the cylinders and .065 off the head the plan from the beginning was to blow it and I have the vs57 old supercharger but I came across brackets for a packard so that's where it's going, point being the engine was built with boost in mind he said keep it under 12psi, ideally around 8psi i will be running a draw threw setup any seguestions on turbo sizing preferably off Equpment or cars. Have considered t25 but it may run out of breath to soon, and I have a hx30 off a 4bt but I'm worried it might be to big. it's a fairly low rpm motor around 5-5500. Any input or ideas would be very welcome, thanks in advance, oh here's the link to the video that gave me the idea

Well crap now a guy at work (who
I generally consider a dumbass) put kinda a killer idea in my head. "Well why don't you get 2 turbos of the 2.2 Perkins and just run 3 and 3" and I went shit that would be cool the issue being the flathead only has 3 intake ports, so on a log style intake if they both fed one end what happens in the middle will one turbo overpower the other?

cool project,, how many cid do you have now?? for a ballpark usually a diesel turbo needs to be 2x as big as a gas engine when picking turbos ,,, so a 3.ol diesel turbo kinda fits a 1.5l gas engine

Keep in mind that most turbos don't have the required carbon seal to make them draw thru viable. Also, when looking for turbos for something like this it's probably a good ifea to also compare na, and HP goals rather than CID.

Ok that makes sense about size and the seal, that dam dual turbo idea is stuck in my head now I just don't see how to make it feed one intake, or hell we may be talking about so little pressure it wouldn't matter

As long as you're running two identical turbos you can feed both ends of a log, or just merge the outlets before going into the intake.

Man that would be super cool the cool deal in the old days was the split manafolds for the straight 6 so two turbos on split manafolds should be cool as hell now just to determan size

    I think I narrowed it down to a t15 or a t20 and pros/cons suggestions?

For simplicity the complete turbo/carb assembly from a 1980 Turbo Trans am is great.

Carb already has the power valve circuit reversed and they hook up to an inline 6 nicely.

    Thanks
