Water/Meth SBC

    Hey guys, Im not super familiar with how the water meth kits work (snow performance) since it looks like a pain in the @$$ to shove a air to air intercooler into a Malibu(79) this seems to be the better option. I however cant seem to wrap my head around how these systems apply the injection. Ill list the motor im building and what ive gathered so far. It will mainly be a street driven car. Is it activated via vac like the timing retard and fuel pressure? Thanks for any advice trying to gather as much data as I can before jumping in and having to chase around all these problems. ***also looking to run on 93 octane no access to E85

    Engine:

    355 high nickel block
    forged pistons 9:1 comp
    h beam rods
    edelbrock performer rpm heads (fully ported and polished)
    Steel GM Crank ground .10/.20
    looking to build my own Holley 750 mech secondary carb blow thru
    haven't selected camshaft yet
    single plane intake of some sort
    looking at s400 turbo and 44mm wastegate

    Currently building my own th350 and 9" rear so haven't selected gearing yet

    **no fuel system or timing system yet still researching that

    Also looking for 600ish hp hoping that will be achievable on this set up

    Any help you can give me on any of the other above listed items I would appreciate it. Thanks!

    Kick ass thanks for the response. Now that I have the basic idea I guess im just wondering how the system runs on a blow through sbc. Would it just use a vac sensor to tell the injection to come on? Looking at snow performance since that seems to be the most popular. Thanks

    Hobbs switch probably, can be turned on at whatever psi you want it to start pumping

    i think most kits are designed to come on at 6-8psi of boost
    i think its alot easier then stuffing a huge intercooler between the grill and radiator area;
    i did and it was not a good experience:swear:

    Yeah thats what im trying to avoid since its my first turbo build i dont want to get way in over my head and get all pissed off....
