Score! Those are pretty impressive units for the size and price, seen the cast wheel version make a hair over 700whp on a mild 6.0.

Does VS make any claims on their billet wheel version vs the cast? I’m curious if the blades are the same length from hub to tip, or if they lengthen the blades towards the hub a bunch like they do with the performance aftermarket wheels. We tried an 11 blade billet compressor “upgrade” on an S475. Made the same or even a hair less power as it’s cast 7 blade counterpart. It did spool up faster and was quiet by comparison. (no loud turbo whine/whistle). Not sure how I feel about the 11 blade stuff. The high flow aftermarket wheels usually drop down to a 6 blades. Will be great to see what that unit is capable of! Miles ahead of the old turbo I’m sure.

They sure do look cool though!

Similar findings in the diesel world. A friend of mine at a shop in texas tested 6 or 7 different billet wheels including an 11 blade. Interesting note was the factory cast wheel made the most torque. The 11 blade made the lowest power and torque across the board.

Cool stuff, love the Tablet idea for the Holley. Might have to rig up something like that myself.

    From Viren @ VS Racing:
"we are estimating the units to carry the power to 900-950 to the tire. about 18% increase in overall flow lbs/min over the cast wheel. It setup with the 11blade wheel with extended design for higher pressure ratio as well over tradtional 6 blade"

    We shall see!

$80 tablet with tuning capability or a $800 holley dash without...no brainer for me and my wallet.

That's great news! You're gonna fly by those low 6's...

Welp, went for a spin at lunch and my crap oil pressure is even worse. 4-5 psi @ hot idle, 18 psi @ 5,600 RPM, and engine temps are out of my control. I am going to pull the plug and start the Windsor build. As much as I wanted a 6.5x car or faster on a SBE 302 and foot brake, it wasn't in the cards! Borrowed Time was the perfect name for this car!

I'd do a cheap re-ring and bearing job with a good oil pump and stick it back in till the 351 is ready.
Could have it ready to go back in or done over a weekend.

Definitely a consideration. However, I think all rebuilding efforts will be directed toward the Windsor.

My updated plan (since 5 minutes ago and thanks to the coercion of friends lol) is to make a pass off the trailer tomorrow, as it does relatively okay when warming up.

Forgot to mention I weighed the car a couple weeks ago, with me and a full tank of gas in full "street trim" I am right at 3,130 lbs.

First time into the 10s, EVER! I know - I'm a dog on the 60' but keep in mind I am leaving with 2 psi @ 2,500 RPM. Any more and I push through the foot brake. Anyway, I am stoked! Here are a couple pics and a video of my second, albeit slower 10 second pass.

Picked up a set of turbines with good tires for dirt cheap - tired of rolling around on DRs, too expensive! lol

First things first, painted them the only color that matters...FLAT BLACK!

How is the tuning with the HP? Im going with the dominator and cant find much REAL feed back from anyone other than Holley videos. What parts were used to adapt to the tablet dash I want to steel that idea!

Being my first stand alone system, I love it! Very intuitive and straight forward.

All I bought was a Windows tablet and installed a USB charger. Done!
