Hey Im looking for a decent turbo kit for my gsr swapped 2000 civic. I want something with an amazing sound. I want to hear a loud blow off valve and I want to hear the turbo spool. Now this is my first turbo so I still have a lot to learn. My basic worry is if I were to order a kit like the link below, if it is worth it. Also, are there any kits you would suggest? I heard mixed things about the cxracing turbo kits and about kits in general, but im positive I am going with a kit because of my budget.

As far as power goals, I want something fast, but i am taking this thing around turns, not a straight line. I live by very curvy roads, so me topping it out doesnt happen often. I want something quick off the start. (400whp)

[So im in college, I have a nice reliable k24 civic si. Back at home I have a 00 Civic Si with a gsr swap. I have some bolt-ons like headers and an intake manifold, but I want to turbo my car. I am on a budget because I am in college so going all out is not an option. I am looking to spend no more than $1000 on a turbo kit. I understand that I will not get the best quality out of it, but im also not trying to build a 10 second car. All I want is a car to come back to in the summer and have fun with it. I want the car next to me on the highway hear me shift. I want the bov and turbo loud.]

    Thanks for all your opinions!

i wouldn't was my money on that kit. its chinese crap. Personally, ive never seen a chinese turbo last longer than a month. the best of the bottom dollar stuff is probably cxracing.com. your still gonna need to get bigger injectors(id go with ID725), hi flow fuel pump (Walbro GSS342), and a way to tune your car(hondata S300)

why don't you turbo that SI. k-series motors make hella power at low boost. 10 psi on pump gas with a good kit and a flashpro (hondata) will make over 400whp on that k24 of yours. got a k20/24 turbo rsx im driving and its pushing around 420 with a cast manifold.

here is an 2005 SI that i built for my friend.

Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it. The k24 is a future project of mine. The 00 Si is just something for me to mess around with and learn what im doing. Id rather make a mistake on the 00 than the 13. Also Id prefer a better quality build on the 13.
