I haven't used MS but I know there is a lot of support for it. There would only be 3 after market ECU's I would use and MS would be one of them because of the support.

Once you learn a system it becomes so much easier to make changes on your own and not rely on someone else to do it for you. Start reading until your eyes hurt.

Definitely, the more you look over and understand the MegaManual the better you'll be. PM me an email address and I'll send you my old MS2Extra MSQ for you to check out.

Did you decide to give the MS another try. I think that will be the best route for you considering you have the equipment already. Invest your time and money into learning it. In the long run it will pay dividends.

Yes I am going to try mega squirt again. Got the car home. First thing I did was take the 83# injectors out and installed the 60# ones. Then decided to take the spark plugs out and installed new ones. Tomorrow I'm going to hook up the hot side and finish putting the elbow back on the intake manifold. After that is all done ill install the UPR spacer.

I also sent my mega squirt out to be looked at and have a tune loaded up so I have a good starting platform. Thanks 92LX_5.8

If you had 83# Low Impedance injectors, I wouldn't expect it to run unless you had low-Z resistors wired in. Switching to High-Z 60# inj should get it going.

It can only handle two low Z injectors....one per injector driver (think GM TBI)

Or 8 high Z injectors....4 per injector driver

A resistor set up or other method needs to be used for using more than 2 low Z injectors to the best of my knowledge

it can do 2 low z per channel fairly reliably, been done many times. when getting to 3 it works depending on injectors, doing 4 per chanel almost never works well

Thank you both for that info. very helpful indeed.

i first want to thank bigT for the email he sent me. If plan A goes south ill be glad to use plan B.

update. as of 9:00 am today,
    injectors are installed, (Check)
new spark plugs are installed, (Check)
elbow and hot side is hooked back up. (Check)

Just waiting for 92LX's help whenever he gets around to it. :)

Still have to install driveshaft spacer.

Side note: Dumb question but ill ask anyways. If i were to install the stock A9P in the car with no MAF hooked up with 60# injectors, what exactly will happen. Screw myself by installing new sparkplugs that i just installed?

Most likely you'll flood the motor out, and fuel foul the plugs.

Thank you very much. keeps me busy at work lol

Just a thought. I have the stock 02 and the AEM UGEO hooked up in to my exhaust. Will this hurt my tuning?

Just got his squirt in the mail today, put my firmware on it and my tune for my car with low z injectors and it works great. This is the third megasquirt 2 that I have ran 8 low z injectors on with no issues at all. I drove around town, picked my kids up from school and from ball practice tonight and car ran great. Took it out of my car and set it back up for high z injectors and TFI ignition. Going to mail it back to him tomorrow. You will have to run a hose for the map sensor on the squirt and also set your timing using the trigger wizard, other than that you should be ready to go.
