The Edelbrock vic 5.0 efi intake combined with the thin egr delete plate makes it that close.

I'm using the magnafuel 4303 and it was fine till I turned up the 80mm to 29 psi lol before this that is. Which is why I put a jms power max boost a pump on it.

Damn that sucks Tony, time to step up the fuel pump? Or your gonna try to get the injectors and filters cleaned. Mine was at 97% when I was at 8.70s, thats when I added the second 4303. With two of them, I was at 65% in Bradenton.

Not sure yet on another pump, going to get everything cleaned out first. See what happens from there.

Looks like the injector filters are filled with the brown sparkle stuff from the fuel jug. Sending then to be cleaned and flowed.

I'd love to see a back to back test of the fuel trims between the two injectors.

Got the Billet Atomizers 160s in today. But found the header flange warped again. So taking the headers to a friend to have 1/2" flanges welded on. 2015110295103628.jpg #ad

Gotta cut the intake to clear the BA injectors. My friend put the injectors in while I was out of town. He put 4 washers behind the rails to get them to fit. I don't like the angle, going to cut the intake so it can lean like they should.

A video from back in October, 1st burnout was the full exhaust. 4" into a 4" Dynomax Bullet muffler exiting right a the rearend. 2nd burnout, we had left it open downpipe. Not that big of difference loudness wise, just tone. Thinking about replacing the the Dynomax with a 4" round Borla, but not sure it would really do much for the loudness.

Tony, I think you should try the Borla. I have wanted to see if it would quiet my car down but have been to cheap and lazy to try it.

Love the sound! Are those injectors supposed to be that much better than a typical Bosch 160?

Thanks! Trying to step it up some :)

Will find out, they are suppose to idle better and atomizer better for more power. The Bosch 160s tested at around 158, he said the BA 160s he has tested have actually been over 170.

Tony, I have my 4" down pipe split to dual 3" magnaflow ss ovals. Its quieter than my old single 3.5 exhaust.

I have my trans cooler in the place of the driver side muffler. So a dual setup wouldn't work. Unless it was 2 round 3". But I doubt that would do much different.

1st startup with the BA160s and ya, way different lol. The bosch 160s were idling at 15:1 a/f with it adding 10% fuel and VE of 35. Only change being to the BA 160s, it idles at 12.5:1 a/f with it pulling 10% fuel. Had to drop the VE to 20 to get it to 14:1. It ended up raining today so no track time, hopefully next weekend.

    before cam - VE Cells 30/21 -4.7 o2 Corr 13.50 a/f
    after cam - VE Cells 33 13.3 o2 Corr 15.94 a/f
    after injectors VE Cells 26 -10 o2 Corr 12.58 a/f

Going over my files and logs closer. I shrugged off the after cam fueling change to the cam (more vacuum and characteristics). It must of been the contaminated fuel that was throwing it off that bad. Live and learn...always check your fuel jugs lol

Made it to the track yesterday, I had adjusted the a/f in the shop the day before. Would get to 15 psi on the transbrake in 1 second. I pulled out of my pit and it didn't feel right. So I went to the side parking lot and tried to roll into the throttle, it wouldn't rev up and was dead lean. Grab'd the laptop added fuel and got it cleared up.

Get up the track, the burnout did fine but when I get on the transbrake it wouldn't go over 3000 rpms. I even sat on the brake to see if it would push past it. No luck, so I laucnhed and it was a pig till the about 5000 then it took off and ran a 9.3@160 with a 1.8 60'. Looking at the log, the a/f was 15.9 till 5000 and the richest it got was 13.7 during the run. The E85 kept it good tho. On the return road, the car wouldn't rev and kept popping when I tried to rev it. Get back to the pit and start looking everything over, when I saw the A/F I thought that was it. I must of hurt the engine. I was told it was smoking out the exhaust when I pulled up. We pulled the plugs on the driver side and they looked good. My friend tried to turn the car over and it wouldn't turn over. Like it was locked up :( After a few minutes it spun over and stopped again. The radiator water level was fine. Got it to re-start and the Fast showed a Wideband problem and the A/F showed 8:1. My son comes up and said "Why is water leaking on the passenger side". CRAP!. Start looking and noticed the "water" was coming out turbo where the vband meets the downpipe. It wasn't water, it was raw fuel. Found #2 injector was stuck wide open. You could blow through it after we pulled it out.

I still had the Bosch 160s so we put them back in, changed back to the SBSO tune I had when I ran a 165 mph (at 30 to 31 psi). The tune wasn't happy with the change of heads and cam. I tried to quickly change it some and made another pass. It went on the 2-step quickly and when I released the button it yanked the tires and then broke loose :( 1.57 60' 5.99@129 9.04@162 @ 20 psi :)

There must of been a small piece of trash from the bad fuel left somewhere and hung the new Billet Atomizer 160 injector. Ended the day with a promising 162 mph with only 20 psi vs the 165 with 30/31 psi before.

Here is a 360° video from my Ricoh Theta S camera I had mounted to my antenna mount: (You have to use Google Chrome, Firefox, or the youtube app on a phone to view in 360 view)

Damn, sorry to hear about the injector issue. Glad to see you were able to make an adjustment get it down the track though. Once you dial it in that thing is gonna be an animal.
