Yes. 454. Runs good. 4 seasons and I drove it till it ate itself up. It was all junk engine parts, killed the rings (was using oil and always had ring material in the filter), lifted the heads and torched b/w 5 & 7. I pretty much tossed the whole motor in the dumpster. Building a new Dart block/ Brodix head combo with some real internals. I used the junk engine to see if I liked the turbo setup, tune on, and beat on.

Time for a real combo now.

when did it start boosting? how much boost? were you able to cruise it without drama? thinking I might get the "kit" on the the rebuilt marine 460 over the winter and then build a nice bullet when I trash this one, lol

I can cruise all day without boost. It all depends on how hard I "load" it with the throttle pedal. There is no problem with lag either, I can control when it boosts with my right foot. I've only run it at 9 psi. I knew the engine was on borrowed time. The deck on the block was really thin, 75% helicoiled, and it had Pro Comp heads on it (all came with the boat when I bought it, I didn't build it). I also didnt have dual needle and seat bowls on the carb so that was limiting me from putting more boost/ fuel to it.

Pump gas small block. Ski at 2400. 5500=110mph.
