My LS crank trigger problems all stemmed from a faulty crank position sensor. Well I think they did anyway. I put the signal conditioner in my MS and had the exact same troubles I did at the very start of this project. So I figured it had to be the CPS. I replaced it with a NAPA piece and the car ran like a dream! I don't know if the MS needs the signal conditioner I put in but it works great.

As far as crimp-VS-solder, as a former aircraft guy you obviously know how superior good crimps are to soldering!! Some folks reading this are probably cringing but honestly, a good crimp will beat a good solder joint any day of the week. The proof is in the multitude of aircraft that go supersonic every day, with THOUSANDS of crimped electrical connections in them. It's hard to beat a good crimp.

I got my signal conditioner from Jean Belanger at jbperf.com. This is the link to where I got mine from: http://jbperf.com/dual_VR/v2_1.html

As I said above, I am not sure the MS needs this but my car runs perfectly with it. However, as I also said above, my Crank Position Sensor was faulty. So don't use what I say as Gospel, cause it aint!

I don't really have a whole lot else to update. The Turbo Monte SS is still out scaring the shit out of me! It rocks. :)

How did you wire your Megasquirt II to control your LS coil packs? I'm 99% done with a similar build and this is my only hang up.

Page 159 of the msextra manual has a really good schematic of how to wire everything. This didn't exist when I did mine at it took a bunch of research to make it work!! But damn it sure does work.

Holy shit! I just noticed you are from Maine? Where at???? I am just outside of Bangor.
