I have a 100% bone stock mustang with AOD. I gave it a turbo kit with 72mm magnum turbo and a 9-10psi WG spring, open downpipe. It has MS PNP and I've done the basic setup procedures. My issue is I have no idea what do with the ignition table other than pull a degree of timing for every lb of boost? :bang:

Here is a screen shot of the current table that was loaded in. Could you guys take a look and guide me in the right direction? I don't want to actually start building boost while tuning and risk hurting the engine. :ambivalence:

I appreciate all the help guys! I've learned a lot thus far.

Lol yep. This is why I haven't wanted to really drive the car and get in to boost.

I can send the tune file to anybody if they need to look at other settings as well. I think my timing advance is set to 20° per the "base timing" tutorial and the trigger wizard is showing +11° to make the timing match. Any help would be greatly appreciated! This stuff is all new to me.

I actually saw one of your older posts but your attached maps weren't showing up so I couldn't look at it. If you'd like to ball park it, that'd be great. I'll post the MSQ in a sec.

Attached is the current MSQ file I've been working on. Once again, I really appreciate the help guys! I found a reputable MS tuner and asked if he could do remote tuning with datalogs and stuff but he hasn't gotten back to me. Anything you guys do will help!

I'd try something closer to these, maybe even a few less degrees above 130kpa.

i'll get to a laptop with a registered ts on it later today and go through it.

    i have a few ?'s though
    injector size?
    max boost?
    wideband?
    fuel?
tfi? and if so is it a black or grey module
    does the car already run?

    42lb injectors
has a 9-10lb spring so I'll assume 10lb for now
Autometer pro comp ultra lite wideband (P/N 4379)
    93 octane gas
TFI module is gray in color. is that what you mean? lol
The car will start and run. I can putt it around the neighborhood if i want.

Let me know if you need anything else and thanks again for all the help man!

i did a relatively safe afr and timing tune, ve i will have no clue without having the vehicle in my hands, just a guess. it appears you don't have the wideband hooked to the ms, doing so will help tremendously.

it also looks like idle control is not set up. the code you are also using is ancient.

That's odd about the wideband, it's connected, calibrated, and they see similar readings. How is it not connected/communicating? I definitely haven't messed with any idle stuff. Did you doctor it or do I need to look in to it?

Thanks for everything, I'll upload it and see what she does!

ok so it is connected, but not being used(its turned off in ego control), impossible to tell with just an msq since sensor calibrations are not stored in the msq. if you want closed loop to work you will need to enable it, also autotune requires it if you have the registered version. i didnt touch idle as it is extremely hard to tune remotely, it would be best to just jump in and experiment yourself. if the engine idles by itself leave it be till other things are closer to dialed in.

i would highly suggest using the latest stable release code what you are using is 7 years old, things have come a long way since then, i actually found it hard navigating in it i havent used it in about 6 years

Oh, I got ya. I thought it was working simply because the reading on the interface gauge matched that of the wideband gauge. I'll get that set up when I upload the tune. I didn't know I was using an old version of TS either. I just downloaded what the MSPNP paperwork told me to use, then paid for the full version. You are referring to TS when you mention the release code right? If so, I'll try to find the latest.
