flipped manifolds on bbc

    havent seen any builds using manifolds for a bbc. seams to work good on everything else though. is any one here using them?:cheers:

    well, I guess no one said its a bad idea. they look to flow descent, Im planning to come out with 2 1/2 and go to 2 gt45's. its all stock long block right now, it will get a single plane intake before it gets going. then like everything, it will continually evolve into a bottomless money pit!

    By flipped do you mean swapped side to side? -- If you flip them upside down I believe there are spark plug interference items to look into.

    yes side to side so they face foreward

    That'll work just fine. Be sure to take a look at alternator and belt routing for clearance.

    how many cubes? and how much power are you running through them?

    Not finished yet. 454 std bore, twin gt45's, looking for around 900-1000hp.

    really similar to what I'm wanting. Just concerned about weather or not they will be a big choke point.

    I bought a set for mid to late 90's. Way better design than the old ones.
