I'm currently using a microsquirt to run the factory coils/crank trigger on a carbureted LS1. The car is running and driving great, but due to there being no TPS hooked up, the MS is picking up all sorts of noise and weird readings for the TPS signal. Can I ground the TPS wire to try and eliminate the noise? Should I put a resistor in line or will grounding it directly be ok?

Yes, just ground the TPS wire to sensor ground.

I ended up going to a chassis ground as a temporary fix, it worked great...I don't plan on leaving it that way, obviously. I need to install the TPS(or a potentiometer, etc), as it needs to at least read above 0% in order for the 2-step to turn on.
