Kind of new to the tuning myself world. I am using fast classic on the truck and was just wondering what kind of timing you guys have in your combos in the light accel/ cruise portion of your tunes. I'm not going anywhere near the boost timing yet. I know I am very conservative right now. Combo is a 9.4:1 383 sbf 76mm turbo on 93 Sunoco. From what I've been reading/ researching for the most part the tune wouldn't be very far off from an N/A car when normal driving. I added a little timing today while driving around and the truck def responded well. Seemed more crisp, idle better and just overall behaved better.

 

yes at cruise ,light accel tune it about n/a ,,, i try to have the timing at full mech advance at about 2500rpm and about a 14:1 afr at cruise , works for us, and should get you in the ball park,, and about a 11.5:1 and pull timing under boost

 

Thanks. From what I've been reading I was def. way to low. My tune now is still kind of low in the area under boost so I'll keep working on it. As it sits right now as soon as the map sees boost it pulls timing down to 18* to start up to 2 psi from 3-5 ish timing is 17* and above that it's 15* the rest of the spark map. Truck sure is running better with what I've done so far.
