Another turbo LSX mustang build... 275 Drag Radial

    Excellent fabrication. Very nice build. Maybe a stupid question, I ask a lot of those, but do the limiters just limit how far the front suspension unloads? Is this to prevent breakage somehow?

    It allows us to control front end travel thus controlling/limiting weight transfer. With the track prep today and the technology to help these cars leave so hard it's a must to be able to keep the nose down.

    Heres a little update, we went to dyno and only got to make 11lbs of boost due to some wastegate trouble and came home to get all this sorted out!

    Played a little bit on the street out by my house and made 20lbs with no issues with the gates as of now! Going back the 4th to make a few hits on the dyno again then to the track to get suspension lined out and to learn what the car likes on a sticky surface, more to come and thanks for all the complements!

    Another update, we returned to the dyno and made a few more pulls to make sure everything worked well and to work out a few more bugs!!

    And the 1st pass at the track in Hollysprings Ms, the only pass we got to make due to a bent shaft in the turbo which caused the wheel to touch the housing for some unknown reason!!1.31 60 ft on the rear tires and 131mph leaving on 5lbs and 12lbs in the controller!

    We decided to keep the final numbers quiet since we'll be grudge racing this car some....but we were definitely pleased with the power.

    It's been an interesting few weeks for the Black Betty crew. After the wild ride in Holly Springs and the turbo touch down, we decided to hang around and enjoy the rest of the day.

    Chef did his thing at the grill. Needless to say.... we ate like kings lol

    NOW... on to the turbo dilemma.... with a trashed turbo it looked like we were out of the game for a while. But thanks to a friend who has been extremely helpful, we got an incredible deal on another turbo, a Precision LF85.

    This past Saturday Charles took the car to a somewhat local track to get some baseline hits on the car with the new turbo... the car needs a good bit of suspension tuning still, but we should begin to dial that in over the next couple weekends. Fighting the keep the front end down at the moment. All passes had a 5-6psi launch boost ramping to 12-15lbs. This was on a big bracket racing day so it wasn't on a PRO tree...

    Finally got a good test session Sunday at Sikeston Mo. The track was on kill from a race the night before. We enlisted the help of Van Burgess to get the car going in the right direction...we were extremely pleased with our results.
