Here's a little detail of the drivers side waste gate pipe, forgive the globby weld but it's a bitch to reach that seam from the top when you're trying to hold everything in place...

    and then that dump tube

Ok, hot side is mocked up. Now for the cold.

A bit more restrained hacking into the cowl area...

I still need to fit the BOV, it's going to go in the left hand side of the merge on a little stub of 2" tube. I think it will work right there. I'm waiting on an order of silicone hose and t-bolt clamps from RPS. I'm going to try and get the radiator fitted next, then fit the mid plate when I pull all the mess off to finish weld it and wrap it. Then the engine comes back out for a "freshening". It's starting to look like something now!

Definitely can see that finish line you are talking about.

What did you do related to springs, front rack etc for the weight of motor turbos etc?

Yeah, I'm kind of surprised by the progress. I keep waiting for something to go to hell....

It's surprisingly stock on the front end. Factory manual box, 1999 V6 blazer springs with 1 coil cut out, same year spindles for the floating rotors and two piston calipers. It's got short, urethane bumpstops and almost 2" of suspension travel :D But, it runs out of suspension before it runs out of ground clearance, so that good. Right? The rear has 3" drop leaves in it and it's got about 1 1/2" of rake this way. I'm subscribing to the fox mustang style of front suspension, long soft spring that should (hopefully) unload pretty easily.

Also, there's the exhaust exit. It's got a second one on the other side....

Kinda looks like a bucket of snakes under the hood. I think you've won the coolest V8 S-10 ever award in my eyes, that thing is SICK!!!!

Thanks! I love a filled engine bay and wanted to really get silly with the headers. Bucket of snakes is a great description!

I really like how symmetrical everything is, and how well it looks like it should fit under the hood. Great job in my opinion.

Thank you. The last few times I built it I really slammed it together with cut up junk that i had laying around and it always fit like shit. I tried to take my time with this one and really think it out. I built it in my head about 10 times before I even ordered tubing. I wanted it to be pretty crazy and over the top but still functional, I can pull valve covers with everything in place and get to the distributor nut with a regular box end wrench. It's easier to change plugs on this combo than when it had a N/A 350 it. I kinda can't believe it actually all fit in there like that.

I've made a bit more progress this week. I decided to try one of those Eastwood triple pass aluminum radiators, I think I'm going to need all the help I can get in the cooling department. After some more trimming I think I've got it figured. Because I'm a 5 year old, I really wanted to make it possible to take the front clip off and run it and drive it around and stuff. So the radiator, trans cooler and fan and all mounted to steel brackets that bolt to the frame :D So if I really need to get into it, I can have the clip off with about 8 bolts. Everything's just kinda tacked together at the moment, I've got to finalize the inner bits of fan and cooler mounting and do a bit more welding but I think it's almost time to blow it back apart, re-seal the engine, finish the wiring and then start putting back together...Time to order more parts.

The front end on my car is held on by 6 bolts now, nothing wrong with being a 5 year old IMO.
