    explorer 31 spline center, welded, moser axles, 5 lug swap, northern race cars disk brake kit for 15 inch wheels FRPP 3.55 gears

    cut out frame horns, installed 1 inch square tube

    test fit a hotside my friend in SD built

    ebay 2006 rods and pistons (stronger)

    pulled gas tank and rear out for 8.8 swap and tank to be sumped

    test fit ballin out of control 15x10 billet speciatlies wheels

    cut down stock truck oil pan and pickup for more ground clearance because of Tube K lowering the whole setup

    mig welded pickup tube

    spare -10 fitting on pan for oil drain
    [​IMG]#ad



    not too much farther out, shooting for 3000lbs with driver race weight. 700-750hp to the tire, shooting for 8s at 150+ in this tin can budget car on a china turbo and stock bottom end 5.3 with stock heads and stock truck intake.

    Awesome work so far. Love the oil pan drain plug. Can't wait to see f5 getting it done home build style.

    That truck pan mod is cool... too much for me to attempt though. I'm assuming you modified the pickup tube also?

    EDIT: hmm..well.. maybe I'll try. Can you post more pics of the pan mod and then the pickup tube also?

    275 radial pro's mounted today, fit amazing on these 15x10 6.5 bs billet specialties wheels, just had to roll the lip for them to fit.

    yep the other cars were just to see how fast junk would go, this time i wanna see what it takes to go 8s

    Since you take chances on ebay parts upgrades like the head studs have you thought to try some of those dirt cheap full roller rockers I've seen on there? 1.8's and 1.9's for like $150 a set. If you make them work then the rest will follow suit or just for the F of it I'll buy that stuff and let everyone know about it. Especially since I plan to street drive 99% of the time which is harder on parts than to just race with them.
