How about a vacum pump, I've been thinking of doing that and getting rid of the breathers. I know it defeats the purpose of cleaning up the engine bay. From what I have read it helps ring seal.

they do help with ring seal,i am going to run one on mine, going to mount it where the original smog pump went on my 95, going to try and just pull from the original pcv location in the back of my tfsr intake, and see how that works

I put the breathers back on and it is fine.

I will chat with my engine builder and see what his thoughts are.

Little update, I went out testing at PBIR. Made 4 passes and progressively got better with every run. Every pass I added some boost and rpm.

The second pass I hit the rev limiter before shifting into high gear. The limiter is set at 7000.
I set the limiter to 7400 and the shift point at 7000. Which was my best and last pass of the night.

Now with the explorer cam/ crank sensors, the engine screams all the way up the rpms. It likes the higher rpms.
In the logs, I get no timing errors, and now with the second 4303, I'm getting 60% duty cycle instead of 95-98%. It also went the same et with slot less boost than the cast t4 80mm.

    1st pass, left at 4k, 9.5 psi. 20psi total.

Second pass 4k launch but stayed on the 2 step longer, 10.5 psi, 23 psi total. Still shifting low, hit the limiter before shifting into high.

3rd pass 4200 launch 11psi, 26 total, had to lift after the 60ft, car went left for some reason. Cant find the slip but it was my best 60ft at 1.30

4th pass 4200 10.5 psi, 26 total, shifted higher at 7100. 60ft wasnt as good but I didnt stay on the 2step like the aborted run. But still my best pass et and mph.

My best run with the 80mm was in the SBSO against Randy, and I was pushing the old turbo in the 32lb range. Ran a 5.59 in the 1/8 before hitting the boost cut.
I ran faster than that with the new turbo with 6psi less.
Also the timing is conservative again at 14deg.

    Nice gain Alex!

No timing errors is good to see.

How good is the converter at your current power level?

The converter liked the higher shift point. I shifted at 7100 and dropped to 6400. Havent looked at the logs to see the slip.

Yup, picked up 2mph in the 1/8 and 3 in the 1/4. I may try a little higher.

Its good, they prep it pretty good for tnt nights. I have left at 4400 with 14psi launch.
