turbo support bracing looking for some new ideas

    getting ready to put the camaro back together, and was wondering what everyone does to support the turbos for bracing. if you guys could post up some pics that would be great. thanks again

    we welded flat strap to some round stock, drilled holes in the flat strap for bolts

    I run a motor plate. Have a mount bolted to the motor plate that bolts the exhaust flange of my S476..heavy bitch..53#.

    my engine is mounted on urethane mounts so that probably rules out anything being supported by the chassis

    Put a urethane mount on one end of the turbo support too.

    Here is how we have my s476 mounted in my rx7. Just welded a 1/8th plate on each side of the frame and than used square tubing. Keeps the body from twisting up there and also holds the weight of my billet baby

    Can you post a pic of the front of the motor? I'm not using any bracing on my twin T3/T4s, and on Chinese headers...but they are side mount, I assume yours are front mount?

    Seems like you could just run a support rod from each head to "triangulate" the header mountings. I don't think you really need support for the weight, just something to keep the vibration to a minimum, maybe even a spring loaded rod....
