Looking to see what you guys think about where to spend my money initially.
    (upgrades can come later)

Starting with a roller 351 block. Do I

    1. 393 stroker kit, use my current twisted wedge heads (box stock with 1.7
rockers, good springs), Edelbrock spider intake with elbow 75mm throttle body
and use my current Anderson boost cam.

    2. Stock crank .030 over. Good rods and pistons, current twisted wedge heads,
Edelbrock spider with elbow and 75mm tb, and have a custom cam built for this
    combo

I am going to be using my current single 76mm Master Power. Its a q trim.
1.00 exhaust. Which is going to build the most SAFE horsepower. Bigger cubic
inches with less boost or less cubic inches with more boost? I am also open to
different intake ideas. TFS Box R maybe? I have an Edelbrock victor now for the
8.2 I could get a new lower for also.

351 + .030.....a Q trim is a small turbine for 393 cid, and marginal on a 357 with some decent heads, and a cam.

I wouldn't invest anything into a stroker kit that's going into a stock block. Do the 357 and let it rip.

Would you even bother with rods or just put some good bolts in the stock rods (have them checked of course). What piston would you guys recommend for a Twisted Wedge head?

I cant seem to find a piston to use with a stock stroke crank and rod with a dish big enough to get my compression down where I need it.

Probe and Mahle both make pistons for your application to lower compression, and you could also use a thicker HG, just be careful of the quench. For the price I've actually put those pieces through some hell I never thought they would live through. lol A stock rod CAN handle a good amount of power. BUT, it's not going to be very forgiving on the tune up if you are pretty off on initial start up. That said, stock 351w can handle some shit.. lol What are your power goals you'd like to achieve and we can better point you in the direction you want. But I'm Turbo box, if it isn't a dedicated filled block and your going for seriously high power, I wouldn't waste money on a stroker that regular CID and internals can hit and handle the power desire of. Put money else where....

I want ALL OF THE HORSEPOWERS ! !!Seriously, I want to make as much SAFE hp as possible. I would LIKE to get the car down in the 5's / lower 9's. If I can get a 5 second pass out of a stock block I'd be happy. This is a street car so it will have to remain relatively tame. BUT I think I can do it. I have a really good friend who is working on the tune up with me and so far he's been right on with my current setup and many many many other cars.

How important is the quench in a turbo application? My feeble mind thinks positive pressure at .040 thickness would be the same as positive pressures at .056 thickness?? No?
