would this muffler do anything or is just for show?

they are only $15 so on one hand i want to just try it, on the other hand i dont feel like welding in a muffler to just cut it out five minutes later.
my plan is to run my exhaust from my turbo, into the inner fender and dump it out the side in front of the front tire. very short 3" exhaust. i have twins so of course i would run two mufflers. just wondering if a pair of these would make a noticeable drop in exhaust noise.

unfortunately two per side wont work due to how short my exhaust will be. i like the idea of no fiberglass because the muffler would be mounted about a foot from the turbo

No muffler required. LOL No louder than when I had dual 3" pipes with 2-chamber Flowmasters on a high compression Nitrous motor.

noslo86, that looks bad a$$! any videos or under hood pics? im not going to go quite that extreme lol.

part of the reason i ask is because i still drive on the street to get to the track. i guess ill just do the exhaust without the mufflers and hope for the best. if its too loud, ill go from there.

That is gonna be waayy too loud for the street.....will be very annoying after 15mins not to mention the hassle you'll get from the cops. Track only car, who cares lol.

Granted -- this is not my daily driver, but I do drive it to Cruise night and car shows. No louder than half the Harley's around here. If you get a change -- go to your local drag strip or cruise night and check on the turbo cars. I like it -- but it might be to loud for some. Click on Focus to hear the car idling in the garage.

My twin setup isn't loud at all with just 3 foot downpipes dumped in front of the tires, the turbos are the mufflers.

Same here, single dumped behind front tire no muffler, very quiet till you mash it but no louder than a high compression motor with duals

Those may change the tone a bit but prob not make it quiet. I like straight pipe off the turbo, you can hear the whistle and spool better plus the turbo is a nice muffler

No need for mufflers. Like others have said the turbo will quiet it down. That muffler would not make any significant difference in volume. It is more for class rules in racing that require mufflers.
