Totally out there that they'd stick this on a car. Kinda ballsy IMO. I'm sure some insurance company is getting the undies in a knot. The 5.0 cars are great performers for the price, one of the guys on another board I'm on was in the 12s in a stock car down to the tank of gas for under 30K.

Yeah, they've been stepping it up quite a bit in recent years. Not coincidentally in my opinion is the return of the Camaro. Competition is good! I can't wait to see how the IRS does with this car (IIRC it has IRS) and how it holds up to power.

Wow! I'm guessing they are hoping for an increase in tire sales.

What I'm wondering about is the reduction in weight that they were supposed to do. Rumors were 200-400 lbs. If they got it near the high side, that'd be crazy. As a gutted out drag car it'd make for something insanely fast.

Line lock voids warranty....looks like another excuse to deny any warranty claim IMO. Wonder if there will be a way to flash it back to where it looks like you haven't used it...

If you mod and race a car, are you really worried about a warranty anyway? The day I got my 07 GT off the lot I started mods that void the warranty.

Looks like a solid IRS setup built to handle the power. They improved upon the design quite a bit from 04/05 when they engineered it. It was slated to debut in 05 with the redesign but got scraped for the panhard bar 3 link setup before final production. Looks like they have kept up on it. I'm excited to see it get pushed to its limits and what the aftermarket is going to come to offer for it. Look like the 5.0 motor for 2015 has been improved upon quite a bit as well. Ported higher flowing heads, revised intake manifold, higher lift intake and exhaust cams, larger valves, stiffer valve springs, forged rods and crank. I want to see one get boosted! 600-700rwhp on 5-6lbs of boost would be sick! Too bad I just dropped $40k on a loaded 2014 explorer... lol

I'd rather have an opt out for the factory warranty. Give me 5k back and i sighn a peice of paper voiding my own warranty. I don't want anyones help paying for me or my decisions. I'm a big boy, i'll take care of it myself.

Figured as much. The thing I'm concerned with are if you have unrelated issues they refuse to fix. Especially with this being a complete overhaul on many parts of the car.

Interesting that using it doesn't void it, but racing with it does.
