Ok I got a core for my intercooler. Now I will have to make tanks for each side. I want to use 4'' aluminum piping so what do you use to cut the 4'' circle hole? Also how do you go about bending for the tanks or do you just weld the pieces together to keep from all that welding? I have a tig machine that can weld 1/2'' aluminum no problem. I'm using 16 gauge pipe do I want to use 16 gauge plate aluminum for my tanks? Any and all help will help.

A dumb ?? Why the 4" piping?? Unless you are pumping A LOT of air thru it, the 4" piping can/will add some serious boost lag. [A 4"x12" tube has a volume of 150ci, while the common 3" has 84ci.]
The 16 ga flat stock just may be too thin. [Tank distorting].
I cut the holes w/ a hole cutter that I have, that uses a carbide lathe insert. [On the mill for better control.]

    Just my $.02

I'd use 1/8" for the end tanks. A flat piece with a lot of surface area will need to be thicker to equal the strength of 16 gauge tubing.
