i was going to build a 511 bbc and have the block/heads/turbos based on that so i can begin mocking everything up and making the hot side. I had the heads/block but turbo's were new. I have a buddy with a dart 10.2 o-ringed block that he said he would give me (broke rod but 2 sleeves will clean it up). Block will be a 4.6 bore after clean up so here is my dilemma.

the current heads are 315cc heads so what stroke crank would you use based on that head to hit the goals? Not opposed to changing heads/turbo just $$ wise i would rather not. thought about a 4" stroke for a 532 but i think the rod maybe too long in a 10.2 block.

so what do you guys think the right direction would be?


overall goals were about 1400 +/-whp or run somewhere in the 8's in the 1/4. 67 firebird 3400lbs street/strip....trying to do it all on pump gas with a2w intercooler so i don't have to mess with fuel changes and thought about going to a 565-582 with 88's and get new heads.

 

1st those 315cc heads would be better suited to the smaller cubic inch motor that 511 sounds like a good bet. what size turbo/turbos do you have, what type of heads are they and whats been done to them.

 

twin 76's right now. Heads are BB2's that have mild port work done, comp triple springs, jesel rockers. I know they will be small for almost anything in the 500+ci range. Probably just going to sell them and get some 340-350cc heads and be done with it.
