Australia is TheTurboForums 3rd largest source of users/traffic from any single country (USA 1, Canada #2).

Currently TTF uses a CDN (content delivery network) to serve images, javascript and stylesheet files. Basically, the CDN is a network of servers located in different regions of the world. When you visit a page the CDN node closest to you serves the images, etc. This speeds up browsing quite a bit.

Right now our CDN has several nodes in North America and Europe. Next week TTF will be adding Asian/Pacific nodes to its CDN services. The CDN company has nodes Malaysia and Hong Kong, and is working on adding nodes in Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo. We're going to do a test run for a month with the CDN to see if the Malaysia/Hong Kong nodes speeds things up for you. Our analytics will tell us average page load times. If it does speed up, we'll make it permanent, otherwise we'll wait until the CDN deploys their Sydney node.
