No reason to sweat it Michael, we all have our reasons to be away from a project. Finish it on your terms and just know we are all here for support!
Car guys love nothing better than a great looking and running project, but most important is the back story of how it came to be.
Great to hear and look forward to the next update!

Life and family take precedent. Heck, I made it to the track 2 weeks in a row for the first time in hell ... a decade? Glad you are heading back at it. If it ever gets to a point where a weekend of wrenching makes a huge difference or gets it rolling let me know and we'll make it happen!

Man I would never apologize for taking care of my own business. Gotta keep the fam together. Just glad you didn't sell it because I know you would have regretted it. I like seeing the progress on this build. If it takes another couple of years, I'm sure it'll be we'll worth it. Weld on brother!

Great thread. When you have a family and responsibility some things just have to wait a little.

Great to hear your getting the bug again.

Ok. Waiting on some parts. Bought a chrome alternator, new tensioner and pulley. Going to try top mount alt since side mount won't work now given the headers. I think it will clear. Should have the parts in a few days, and can test fit it. Going 250A. Overkill, but thats the whole theme with this thing. Test fitting some of the interior panels with the minitubs. Trying to figure out a game plan that will look the best. Would like to have the interior quarter panels hide the bigger tubs (adding pieces with fiberglass), but I dont think I will be able to get them in and out with the roll bar. More to come on that..

Not a big great update, but baby steps right.. pics to come once parts arrive.

    Thanks

    Michael

You'll need it for the 1000 amp stereo system you're installing too though right?? 1 amp for every horsepower the engine makes.

No moving !! No cars, but bought a few bikes. 2006 KTM 50cc Senior (sons starter bike), 2009 Kawasaki 65 Monster Edition (daughters), 2007 CRF150R (wife), 2010 KTM 65 SX (sons big bike), and a 6x12 enclosed trailer, as well as, my 2000 CR250 (trail set up) & 2006 CRF450R (MX). Staying with my over the top theme, I put a big bore 488cc kit on the CRF450R, stage 3 cam, 13.5:1 Wiseco piston, top end MRD spec full exhaust, stage 3 head port (done by yours truly), rekluse Pro Core clutch, and twin air filter.

    Thanks,

    Michael

I always liked what Briansshop did with the rear interior panels in his car. Unique and pretty clean looking:

Well, it is plenty of power for my 215lbs. Only one problem. Put that much power in the hands of a novice rider that has a mentality of go big, or go home and thats how you end up with a violent crash which is exactly what happened. Not to digress to much from the topic of this thread, but as I mentioned, I had a motocross "accident". Well, I over jumped a first attempt triple jump (thinking its better to over jump than come up short), and just lost it on the landing resulting in a dislocated shoulder that ripped all four of the rotarcuff muscles away from the bone, chipped my arm bone, and tore my bicep tendon among some other ligament damage. Well, it required a $35k reconstruction surgery on june 14th (luckily I have good insurance). I am still in rehab. Very little strength, but getting better everyday. I will ride again once I am healed, but as most experienced motocross riders will tell you, spend your money on a top notch suspension before motor upgrades so I will be sending my suspension out to either RG3 or Factory Connection for about a $2000 suspension so I can hopefully ride out some of these narly big jumps.

BTW, alternator, tensioner, and pulleys arrived yesterday. Also, ordered some more tubing and cut holes to route the turbo intakes in the fender well. Should be able to put up some pics this weekend.

    Thanks,

    Michael
