    Thanks reef!

No actually I pulled the turbine and compressor housings and everything was so friggin clean I just left it as is. I had a buddy of mine check it for end play and side clearance, it was within spec. So I just hit everything with some carb cleaner .. keeping my fingers crossed.

So where are you at with your build?

cool, yeah my endplay was good as well but my oil seals were gummed up...not leaking but looked like they are going bad...

i just layed down my high build epoxy primer in my engine bay after i smoothed it...had to wait for warmer weather since a propane heater+garage+flamable paint= ex-plosion...lol...gotta block sand and then spray the base and clear..looks like this weekend is gonna be nice....motor is ready to go and so is my trans....once the engine bay is painted i can put my tubular k member back in and get the motor installed

You get your elbow, MAF flange and clamps yet? I want to hear this thing, already :encouragement:

I was actually working on it this morning! My MAF flange came in, as well as my clamps, and a silicone elbow I ordered. Realizing now I'm either missing a couple silicone couplers, or my kids ran off with them lol.
I also discovered my existing rad fan won't clear the water pump.. tried flipping/ trimming it until now it's an expensive lawn ornament :swear::banghead:. Good news is one of my buds @ work says he's got a fan out of a taurus that may work so I'm gonna give that a shot.:encouragement:

I got my power steering pump done, I just rigged something up using some of the factory brackets.
Got the oil pan punched and welded my drain fitting in.. still gotta change the oil though.

On my to do/ Waiting on parts list..

Still waiting on my intake pipe to get back with the MAF flange welded on.
Need to wire the new MAF/IAT pigtail.
Waiting on my 75mm EGR spacer.
Put the EEC back in, and re-route my starter/battery/Fan wires
Gotta install my boost gauge and my Wide band installed still.

So all in all it's only an afternoon away once I have everything in my possession.

Sounds good! What size couplers do you need? And for the radiator hose, I'd just run into Advance Auto and ask to walk around the back and look at all their hoses. Go to the one on Mt. Rose Ave. That is the local hub store and they have everything :encouragement:

Just need 2 3" couplers I think.. unless they are laying somewhere they are not supposed to be b/c of my son lol. Now I finally understand the saying you always hear about fathers and son with regard to their tools lol.

Radiator hose? They both clear everything by a mile...? I need a new radiator fan lol.

Advance has couplers if you need them. Rivers Truck Center on Cape Horn Road might have some better ones, too.

And yeah.... re-read that about the radiator fan... doh. Volvo fans happen to work well if that taurus fan doesn't work

Samll update .. Couplers showed up, got my intake tube with the MAF flange welded on back. Still waiting on the EGR spacer and for my co-worker to bring in that rad fan.

Didn't get any work done this weekend on it.. my washing machine decided to take a crap, so spent the better pert of sat on it. Replaced the clutch in it but not before slicing my thumb down to the bone. Needless to say I can't really grasp anything to well with that hand now.

Excuse the dried blood lol. Amazing what some stitches and medical grade glue can do

    Thanks Mitch!

I was actually surprised how fast it stopped bleeding.. gushed like hell for -10 minutes then it pretty much stopped. Was thinking about just super gluing it shut myself lol.. wouldn't be the first time! Figured as deep as it was better to have it looked at and not risk an infection.

Dying to get the car up and going.. luckily next week should have some extra time I can play with it. I'll let you know when I'm close to getting it running so you can come take a look at it
