Hey guys, I'm putting together my first blow thru LSX setup and I'd like to get your opinions before I purchase the turbo, carb and other expensive items.
    2003 6.0 LQ4-113,000 miles stock short block
Bullet turbo cam (no specs yet because I wanted to purchase the turbo first. I have a Bullet on my current SBC and I love it)
#317 heads, Lunati springs, retainers, locks. Comp Cams upgraded tri-union for the stock rockers
    Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake
    CSU 750 Blow thru carb
    CSU carb hat
    Stock truck manifolds
2.5 mild steel hot side plumbing from Columbia Mandrel(builders kit)
BW-S400SX4 Turbo-75mm 1.32 A/R T-6 500-1050HP (It may be a tad large, my thoughts were to buy one that I could grow into later with another engine)
I'm not sure on the wastegate and other items. I'm simply sketching this together right now so obviously there's alot I'm missing but I wanted to get your opinions on some of the larger more expensive items first. Thanks, Nick!

I'm stuck on the S475. It'll do everything I need and then some. I'm not and don't plan on making 1000RWHP. I'd like to see 550-600RWHP out of this engine MAX. If I built another LSX, I still doubt I'd want 1,000hp. Also, the S475 is $200 cheaper too; and I still have alot of items to buy. Has anyone purchased from IRT Performance? http://stores.customracingturbos.com/-strse-69/S400-dsh-75mm/Detail.bok<-This is what I'm looking at for a turbo with a 83mm turbine wheel and 1.10A/R housing. What do you guys think? I'm not really out the S480 but I think the S475 may be more along the lines of my budget. Also, does any of the board sponsors do price matching? I know this isn't Wal-Mart.lol However, I'd like to see of someone can beat IRT's price. Thanks! Nick.

You can make plenty of power with the 75mm. The Real Street class around here all run those and make north of 1000hp. They are running 5.20-5.40s at 130mph @3200+lbs. You'll get you 600 goal easy. I think you'll be happy with it.

Ok I've got the BW S475 sitting at home. Now it's time to look into wastegates. From everything I've gathered both from reading and talking to those with hands on experience they believe that a Precision or Tial wastegate is the way to go. Would a Precision 66mm be correct for my setup? I do not want to go with two smaller wastegates but rather one large one. What do you guys think? Thanks! Nick.

Performance. I also ordered one of his cams he reccommended to go along with this turbo. I believe it is called the Stage 2 LS7 turbo cam. Nick.

3,000+RPM's is what I believe. This isn't going to be a daily driver by any means. I'm not looking to spin the engine any higher than 6,500RPM's either. I'm buying most of the turbo related parts with the idea of building a larger c.i. engine down the road. I think the LQ4 will do alright for now.

~3k is about right (depending on your converter, cam and tune)

TRUST me...you're going to LOVE it. I take it that this is in a G-Body?

Yes it is. 1983 Malibu wagon. I'd like to see this car run 10 teens of not break in the 9's. I've got a picture of it in one of my other threads. I'm trying to look around see what wastegate will work best for my application. There's a TON out there. I have also decided to run E85 with the blow-thru setup and remain non-intercooled. Nick.

at the point where you run 10 teens..... you will not be able to control yourself until 9.9* is on the slip
