I finally have most of the stuff to rebuild my 496. All new pistons, hell fire rings, main and rod bearings, and head gaskets. Ive heard many variations on ring gaps for boost applications. What say you? The more info the merrier right? Also looking for a recommended spark plug for my stage VI head. Ive been running NGK plugs BPR6ES11. Me being a retard I guess these are a hot plug? Also gotta figure out about leaning it out a little. I just watched the video of my gauges and it runs right at 10.5 at WOT for the whole 1/8th mile. It idles at 13.5. so for the rest of the new stuff. I bought a water/meth kit for it from cooling mist. I have heard from a few that say to run a lot of meth and a little water. Like 90/10. I also want to get a Air intake temp gauge. I havent had much luck finding anything.. Any ideas? Also a new trans with griner brake and a new dana rear! Time to turn up the HP! :D

I am running cooling mist on mine.Very happy with it.I am on the street so i am only running 50/50.Like mean mopars. That is sweet.Zeitronix have sensors for about $30.00.I am running the zt-2.It does data logging.Comes in handy for tunning.A little pricey but worth it in the long run.About the price of a set of pistons.

Well Its Running!! Changing up quite a few things this go around. Adding a water meth set up from Cooling mist. Also added a crank trigger. Hoping it will last more than 15 passes this year. Plus its getting a new trans with a griner brake and a big ass Dana 70 rear with a locker and 35 spline axles with 5/8 studs. Still have lots of work to be ready to run but its closer..

My project got put on the back burner for a couple years due to some financial and other life issues that got in the way. I am in the process of blowing the dust off now. Will make a separate post about it soon.
