Im learning how to tune on my own with the pro racer software and SCT X2. My problem is, is that I accidentally erased my tune. Feel like an idiot. Does anyone might have a base tune for a 98 mustang 2v 4R70W 62mm hellion kit, looks to be a stock MAF, cobra 39# injectors, and 22xlph pump. PCM code RHJ2 or CRAI8. right now I used the value file for a boosted, stock maf, 39# injector, 3.55 gear set up. Its getting by for now but keeps stalling on me. Thanks guys, great site. Looking foward to learning from you all.

You're probably closer to right w the boosted value file than stock. It'll have rescaled timing and load tables, MTF and other values the stocker won't have. I'd work from the boosted before stock. SCR can get you a stock file though.

First thing to do is datalog it, and find out why it's stalling. Wideband O2, fuel source, open loop flag, spark, spark source, short term fuel trims, dashpot, FPDC, IAT, idle air control, maf counts/voltage, RPM, etc. Reset the PCM first, to clear out LTFT. Do a complete data log, post it, and then there's something to work with. Otherwise you're just doing guesswork and that's tooning not tuning. :)

not really sure how to put the data log up but i will try, ont let me do .csv files. is there a way i can convert it to a different file extention? the reason im not going WOT cause its to lean at that point, gonna richen it later on. I do NOT have the A/F in the data log cause i havent got te cable to the X2 yet (coming soon). Also i dont have throttle position in it. Some pids do not work, some do. going through a process of elimination here. lol.

Was this thing dialled in already onece with this setup? Stock maf doesn't have a ton of range. Your sig shows 332whp so I guess that could be the stock maf. Weird to see one in a turbo application. Blow through or draw through?

i bought the car how it sits now, appears to be a stock MAF sensor possibly in stock flow tube, its a draw through set up (for now). when i got the pro racer software, i accidently erased my tune having to start from scratch now

The forum allows you to post zip files so if you can ZIP it, you can attach it that way. Also, I added CSV file support this morning, so you can now attach it without zipping it. Make sure you log the maf (so we know how much room there is left, or if you exceeding the MAF), the open loop flag and fuel source. Also, put the Advantage file into a zip, and post it, I can take a look to see if there's anything you overlooked.

now that i have most of the basic tuning done, i cant figure out why it will not go open loop under WOT. i have TP for open loop at 500, temps are good and set to WOT. i datalogged it and fuel source and open loop flag says it goes open loop for about 0.5 seconds and returns to closed loop. looking at mt short trims, i see its comanding what i have in my base fuel table during that time. any advice anyone?

Have you scaled the MAF? What is the fuel source when it switches?

fuel source is 5 (stabilized normal driveability logic - base fuel table, open loop flag is 1, open loop desired is 1, and spark source is 2 (borderline), i cannot remember what the MAF scaling is, i need to go back and look, but i believe it is 1.899, but which tabe are you refering to? i will send you my current tune and datalog, (no A/F's yet) but stays stoick
