I think we're having three this year. One at London drag strip and two at the air port where it started. The other two dates will be announced shortly.. Check this video out man.

It will have its own TV show this year. We had over 200 cars for the last one. High horsepower cars too. Jeff Lutz had his 6 second 1/4 mile car there making exhibition passes. Brett Wagner from pass time will be there in May, along with Hot Rod magazine.

Cool, ill try to make it out too one or two this year as long as nothing comes up lol. Glad too see they are doing somethings around here again though. I know when they closed down 201 speedway there was really not much too do around here. Glad the reopen the track last year cause I like to listen too them race on the weekends since im only a couple miles from the track lol. Wish they would open up a full time drag strip though close by cause all the drag strips I know of are all a good little drive away from here witch has always been a problem for me anyways.

Fingers crossed on that. Cause if there is one that opens up close by id get back into drag racing. Just kinda becomes a pain when all the tracks are so far away lol.

Anyone have a guess of what kind of power this will make to the wheels?? I'm curious and want to set a realistic goal! lol

It sounds like a great project. I would expect that nice engine to make about 450-560 HP and with 18-20 PSI you should be able to make 900 HP

Well, after some time and working on the nova, my direction has changed! I've decided to go LSx.. I'm building a 427, Callie's crank, eagle rods, and Je -18cc pistons, Brian tooley spec'd cam, 243 heads and I'm staying fuel injected.

Great looking car! I still kick myself for not using an LS but, the old SBC will still make power.

Thanks man! Oh yeah, old school stuff is still my favorite. I'm more or less just going this route for the drivability. I plan on driving this thing about every day and on long distance trips and the ls stuff seems to be ideal for it.
