I have an older fuel injection tank, which was for the old throttle body injection. Prob around 12psi on system.

I'm converting over to an LS1 build, so I have to convert this for a 60psi. My issue is the fuel supply line, where the hose connects to the top of the bucket. It did have a hose that slipped over the nipple, and clamped in place. On 12 psi, I wouldn't hesistate to do this. On 60, I'm not so sure.

What I was thinking, was use this fuel injection piece that I got from NAPA, that has a quick connect that fits it:

Pry open the fuel line holder on the bucket, pry up the line easily so I can get access to the bottom of line, cut off the nipple on the bucket, tig weld on new nipple end, attach quick connect, and run new FI line up to fuel rail.

Or am I going to far, and just hose clamp on new fuel line?

    OR, any suggestion welcome!

    Thanks

Easy-Off oven cleaner, if they still even make that stuff, to get rid of the black paint. Then solder a steel male AN nipple to the original outlet, or remove the original feed completely and fab a new one. All the lines are soldered into the hat, they come out pretty easy with even just a small pocket-style butane torch.

just like CH said we just desolder and resolder them , use a good acid core or plumbing solder and clean the metal good with paste flux .

A lot of import stuff is like that OEM. Throw a fuel injection clamp on it, prime the system a couple times and check for leaks and call it good IMO.

I thought all tbi used a high pressure pump and just regulated it at the injector pods? might be doing more work than needed but I never had any problems using clamps

A very simple solution would be to use a compression fitting to go from the steel tubing to whatever you want to use.... :coolio:

Just use high pressure FI hose or even aeroquip hose just put hose clamps over it, you are allowed to use just hose clamps on aeoquip hose. Also a lot of oem like honda, and older dodge has always just used just hose clamps on high pressure FI
