Im wanting to change my oil pan gasket on my 5.0 foxbody. What would be the easiest way to change this? And also what gaskets are you guys using without having any problems. Because my situation is i bought a frpp one piece gasket and i was told that they made the sides to thick so it doesnt have enough squeeze on the front an main seal of the oil pan an i didnt use rtv so it leaks from the rear and front. Thanks for the help

Same gasket, use rtv front and rear on both sides. Tried no rtv before, leaks every fucking time.

X2 Plus it comes with clips that hold the pan off the motor a bit to let you get the RTV on it easily and then bolt it down. Makes life so much more simple especially if your doing it yourself.. lol

X3 and I would probably just lif the motor enough to put it on or just pull the motor all together.

I just recently did mine cuz I just didnt like the idea of tapping the oil pan.I ended up removing it drilling it & installing a fitting that way. I ended up loosening the engine mounts ,loosen the steering shaft from rack and rack mounting bolts to lower the rack leave the tie rods attached. loosen the panbolts and unbolt the pickup and the pan should come out.
