Wanted to see if any one had any data on one of there kits on mod motor.
I have heard lots of claims out there about exhaust pressure being higher than normal .

    Re: Hellion turbo back pressure

The 2011 single kits have the biggest problem I have seen.

I have seen 2-1 at 10 w cam timing set as far as it will go to relieve pressure. Had one guy call me and tell me his was 3-1 and was told it was OK. The car in the link below had 2-1 at about 9-10 psi as well.
UPR claimed this was 10 psi

Need to be careful of the inlets also.

That car had valve springs in it and it still wouldn't make power. Same car, dyno, and tuner made 200rwhp more than that single kit at the same boost level. I've got the old kit here off the car I haven't been able to give away lol

I assume this is on a 2011/12 mustang.
The last statement saying tuner made 200 hp more than single kit.
Can you clarify what was used?
1.5 to 2 to 1 is what I usually see on stuff I have built.
3 to 1 is getting a bitt high

Yeah, the coyote stuff. 2-1 wouldn't be bad if a turbo is close to maxed. But if the comp wheel can make 1000rwhp but the back pressure is 2-1 at 10 psi, that's a bit off.

Should be set right at the video's time. It's an overlay of the twin kit I built them and the hellions single kit. Same car, tuner, etc.

Someone will have another single available very soon w some numbers. Can't say who though :spam:

Have you seen any numbers with the mod motor 4v stuff?
    With stock manifolds
The 2011/12 are they pushing through cats? Post turbo?

No, I haven't. All I've seen are catless w cutouts. Only hellion is running the stock mani's. Everyone else is running logs. Only two companies running real headers.

I got my single76 Hellion from a buddy here and he made 580rwhp@6lb on 93oct and 640@10lbs on 93oct
Best time was 10.53@131 on the same 93oct
    Now if I can duplicate

The big question what was exhaust pressure at while doing that?

The new 5.0 moves more than double the air of the pushrod 5.0, stock vs stock. So if a good match for the stock pushrod motor is a 70mm compressor with a p- trim turbine (mp70) than the turbo used on the coyote should flow 2x of the mp70. I would use nothing short of a 76/75 precision, or the older 72-78GTS.

I did not see what turbo was in the kit in question... What turbine is on the 76 Hellion mentioned?

Standard Hellion for Coyote is 67mm
Upgrade is Presision BB billet 76mm

The turbine is the main factor in the back pressure equation. I am assuming the 67 is a P-trim turbine or similar. I am assuming the 76mm is a 75mm turbine, GTS, or similar. The p trim is too small from the start. The 75mm turbine is good for lower boost. Anything over 15psi I would be looking for an even larger turbine.

They made the 75mm stand in the 67 and 76. Either hits 2-1 at 10 psi on that kit though.

Well the thread I started was mainly for the 2v and 4v mod motors with hellion single kit. I have not done any research as to what exhaust housing and wheel they are using. Just wanted to see what data people had.

I love the shit he talks about his turbo's being made at the same plant as the Magnun turbos but does not want to let the guy upgrade to a name brand one , needs to move all the one's on the shelf. if i was a member there i would have asked about the injectors. lol
