You might also want to invest in a quality Torque wrench... Even cheap new ones have been found to be off right out of the box. Remember most of the cheaper ones are made in china and have no liability in the USA. Worst thing that could happen is the US companies stop buying those.

Even a used snap on can be had for like $100 and sent in for a rebuild and calibration. Last time I did this it was like $60

As long as you turn it all the way down when your done and don't drop it you should have no issue's with it. I finally sent mine in after 10 years because it was almost just as much to check it for accuracy. They wanted like $45-$50 local to check and certify it and if it didn't pass it would have to be rebuilt any ways.

Just don't buy the partially crushed beam style that look like the offshore ones. I believe they don't have parts for those because they were made by a different outside company for Snap on. You will see alot of companies selling them off as old inventory and claiming to have them certified. That's great if you can track the certification and it was done recently like within 30 days of the sale and the price is right just keep in mind you may not be able to get serviced in the future. The fully round beam is made CDI which is a division of Snap on and those are all serviceable by snap on.

Never assume its calibrated properly with out recent certification.

    Thanks.
That's some good stuff. I'm usually good about buying American made products especially cylinder heads, intake manifolds etc...
I just made it back in town its been a long week for us. I'll get back on it in the morning.

    Thanks for everybody feedback

I like to use ATF on the rings as well, works great. I always add some zinc additive, todays oil doesn't have enough in it.

    Great thread!

Almost done, would AR133 Racing plugs do ok with 5 - 10 psi?
Think I need to go one step colder?
When It cools down,I'll go out and finish it.

    Car idles at 14.5
    cruises around 13.5
    full throttle is 11.7
When I floor it, it gets around 10.9 that's where I'm getting the hesitation. I think I could go down one - two jet sizes down in the primaries. that might get me around 12.5 full throttle. I did change the secondary jet size from 89 to 84 it made a huge change.
I'm going to change the springs from 5 to 8psi then add meth injection for higher boost numbers.
But so far the engine hasn't blown up.

Added new spark plugs so I could have a reference point. Then went down two sizes in the primaries now I'm at 76 jet size.
Car is a little more responsive, but I'm getting 10.8 when I floor it a moment latter it's at 12.5 at 8 psi.
How can I maintain 12.5 Thur out the entire cycle? Maybe go down on the nozzle shoot?
This JY 350(8psi) is almost where my dart head 383(5psi) was.
Also I'm running AR133. Do you think need to go colder. My goal is 12-14 psi with meth injection on JY 350 motor

I did it, Thanks turbofourms.comI finally finish it, but i have alot of tuning to do. took the car out and it was amazing, once the secondry would kick in the car became uncontrollalble at any speeds.I have narrowed the problems downs.I can't wait the get started on my turbocharged sbc 350. I'll be using a stock crank and rods with ARP bolts, also some TRW forged pistons all balananced. top of with some 993 heads and a victor jr intake manifold.I DID IT!!!!!!!!Thanks

cylinder number 2 and 3 is obvious full of junk. Something let go/ Probably your intake valves when the piston smacked at 8600 rpm. and serious detonation to break off the ring lands like that
Cylinder 1 looks a bit lean and number 4 a bit rich. What are you using for a intake manifold
