Sucks to hear you lost your race to the dyno.

Maybe get it on a track to see what it really does. Racing dynos is stupid.

lol, honestly, if I had it out on the street and it felt awesome I wouldn be posting this.

I had my car down to 11.35@ 121 mph with 385 rwhp on the dyno with my vortech setup, just and FYI....im not some dyno racer, was just expecting more out of this setup.

The issue here is that the car feels weak. I honestly think my stock motor setup with the vortech would walk all over this thing at this point...so im a little bit heated and worried when I spend thousand and thousand of dollars and months working on a car, putting a built motor in with heads, cams, intake, new converter, turbo setup, and it disappoints me in the power department.

Im sure I will get it to the track after I get the 3.27s put in it and some more boost.

The 4.10s barely let the turbo spool in first gear currently.

Guess ill just hope for the best and see what happens when the boost gets turned up to about 15-16 psi

Take it out to the track to get some slip numbers on your converter. I say its a converter issue. All these cars with over 500 seem to have 5 speed

hmmm, what could be wrong with the converter?

I mean its a multi plate locking converter, everything seems right with it other than the lower than expected stall speed.

I mean its locked up on the dyno....if it was slipping enough the computer would sense it and unlock it...it doesnt feel like it slips one bit.

The one car I saw was an auto with stock HCI and a MP t70, he made 420 on 9 psi he claims.

Its actually at my tuners shop, he is putting some 3.27s in it for me and going to crank up the boost to see what it does.

I think it's in the tune/timing and it will feel like a beast compared to the 410's after the 327's go in also.

My vote is find a friend with a pte/bw/any other turbo and see what it does real quick. I've seen quite a bit of inconsistent power with those comps

lol, I guess that is always a possibility....after I see what it does on more boost, figure out what the timing is set to, and check the compression of the motor to make sure its ok, I could possibly think about trying a different turbo but I cant say that I know anyone whos gonna swap me their turbo for the day lol.

Im even considering finding a less aggressive intake manifold, seems like people have great results with the p51....

Just an update, second session seemed to go way better.

With the 3.27s and leaks fixed he said it was seeing full boost around 3200 rpms.

Also was able to get the power up to about 455 rwhp on the 9 psi setting.

He bumped the boost up to the 12-13 psi range and it made around 530 rwhp with 14-15 degrees of timing in it.

I wasnt there during the session so dont have any final numbers or data so those are just rough numbers.

I will get the sheets with accurate numbers tomorrow though.
