Just trying to find as much information as possible before making my decision. Currently I have an air to water setup where the PT2000 is under the dash. All this stuff takes up a lot of room. I know this sounds crazy but i'm looking to make my 8 sec drag radial car more street able. Already planning to change it over to a T56 Magnum. Want to work all the bugs out of it in this chassis before possibly switching the setup over to another car. I looked into Air to air but by the time I sell all my air to water stuff and by the air to air setup and change the piping i'm not really going to be accomplishing much or putting money in my pocket. Been considering the water/meth injection. What are your thoughts and experiences with this? The engine is 388ci 8.2 to 1 and has a 98mm turbo on it. This setup made 1100rwhp at around 19psi on a mix of Turbo Blue 110 and 93. I would like to run just pump gas and not have to fool with an intercooler. Typically when it is driven on the street now I don't cycle the water pump for the intercooler unless I plan to go above 10lbs which is rare cause you need a lot of road.

Basically I just want to make this more street able but still be able to go to the track and make some passes every now and then. Also 110 is becoming scarce in this area and I don't see paying the high price for C16 when my car doesn't require it.

We did at one time but I live in Bristol, TN which is a small town. I'm not sure if it didn't go over well or what but from what I've been told the closest place to get it is about 50 miles from here so it's not very practical. I thought about that route though. Would be great if it were around here.

yea I actually ran air to air before and had no problems with it. Just made a lil more power with the air to water setup. I guess if I got a meth injection kit could I not just leave the pump to the intercooler off and still run my correct mix of race gas and start out by watching my AIT's to see if they can get as comparibly low as my air to water? Then if it lowers temps like I hope worry about the pump gas part.

I know all this seems ridiculous but I honestly would rather sell the car than keep it where it's at. I have no use for it anymore as a race car and I tried to sell it on racing junk for 35k and I just get crappy trade offers. Hard to reduce the price on something that you have 90k invested in. Even if I have to run less boost and only make 800rwhp I'd rather do that and make it drivable at this point.

Thank you for the input I just need a change.

WTF! You have e100 at the pump? And it's less than regular e85? That's awesome man!

I tried the water meth on my blow thru 355 for a couple of years. I burned several pistons, and it never had the same performance as C16. I changed to E85 this year and have not regretted it one bit. Granted it is only 25 miles from me, but it seems to make just as much power as C16. I picked up almost 2 tenths in the 1/8 changing to E85 and going from 3.42 gears to a 3.08.

If the closest station is 50 miles away just grab an empty 55 gallon barrel and make the cruise once every few months. I doubt you put many miles on your 8 second car. Even with occasional street driving 55 gallons lasts quite a while. Or grab a drum of e98 and mix your own fuel? Just make sure you get a decent barrel and keep it sealed well and in a climate controlled area if possible. It doesn't sit well.

If your not racing any specific classes another good option is to drop your compression. Every small hit you take in compression makes a BIG difference in the amount of boost you can run. Drop that puppy down to 7.8:1 and let it rip!

Heres a great thread on the subject...

My vote is sell your current setup, install a nice a/a setup. I make my own 1500hp a/a setups. Hell even sell them for 900 so you don't have to break the bank
