Stupid Wastegate Question.

    Just recieved my godspeed 50mm wastegate in the mail for my budget 273 turbo build and something doesn't look right to me. This may be a dumb question, but should the valve for the wastegate be a 1/4" diameter smaller than the opening of the wastegate? It should be sealed tightly so no exhaust gasses escape except when the wastegate opens correct?

    It should have a slip in valve seat that seals against the valve.

    Nope just 2 v-band clamps.

    Just clamps, no flanges? should have 2 flanges, and valve seat along with the clamps. Others here have been missing parts from their ebay gates.....

    So you didn't get the flanges? I thought you said you have them?
