Hello, I was wondering if anyone has turned a explorer upper intake manifold 180*? is this possible. The intake is currently in a 95 mustang and i would like to make the shortest route possible for the intercooler, Would a turbocharger run better this way with a shorter distance form intercooler, What would have to be done to make it happen as far as cables go?

An explorer gt-40 upper intake can be flipped around... yes. However some fabrication on the throttle cable bracketry will be required. The overall length of your intercooler tubing is not gunna vary your hp potential.

 

Add a few more details here, Throttle cable bracket needs modification, BBK fuel pressure regulator wont work, 94/95 throttle body spacer to high once flipped. vacuum lines feeds hit heater hose on fire wall, and this is with a spacer installed between the upper and lower manifold. but yes it will work, just to much work for a fast fix for intercooling routing.
