Not sure if the problems on my end, but every time I try to click on a thread it gives me an error.

    "Unknown Error
It appears the server has some issue with tapatalk or your session is expired. If this problem persists, please re-enter this forum from the account tab"

I did that and it doesn't make a difference, I've also got errors just viewing the forum sometimes.

    Anybody else?

Yeah, has not worked since the forum software update. I'd use a computer as suggested but those are a PITA to type on while driving down the freeway.

That's another great advantage of the iPad. I prop that fucker right on the steering wheel and can get so much more done during my commute.....although I often end up using the phone too, lol.

That is why I got an iPad Nano, you see it has all the great features as the iPad but also has a phone built into it. Plus it is smaller so more easily fits in my back pocket. I have to wear ghetto pants in order to fit an iPad into my back pocket.

Is tapatalk still broken on th server? I got tired of seeing the message every page, so I downloaded it and got a similar message as the OP.

Anyone else having problems still? I'm trying to see if slow67's situation is isolated or if its widespread, because Tapatalk should have been addressed and fixed by us back in early February/late January.

Just a guess but I'd imagine Tapatalk is actually turned off on the server. Most forums I get onto are turning it off due to security holes in the product.

Its weird, because the server should let a device connect to the Tapatalk plugin.

https://www.theturboforums.com/smf/mobiquo/mobiquo.php - click that and you should see something (some XML on the screen). It could be that Tapatalk bypasses DNS and uses a long cached IP address instead. I've contacted Trent for access information into the forum's Tapatalk account so I can track down the problem since it appears to be okay from a settings point of view here (and nothing about Tapatalk changed when the site was moved over so its bound to be an IP issue).

When it works its great, when it doesn't it puts the onus on us to try and fix/support software we didn't write. And people wonder why so many admins hate Tapatalk! Server problems, security issues, lost time, etc. Tapatalk makes money, we support it - looks like they have a great business model (for them, not us, lol).

I'll take a look into getting it working, but honestly its a dead end of time since I'm working behind the scenes to get Xenforo working and all the SMF/Tapatalk work would be short term since Xenforo supports it. Sort of like detailing a car you're about to take to the crusher!

PTM, I have no idea why SMF asks for you to download Tapatalk, I can't find it in the settings.
