Who is making big power on l92 heads?

What's your combo and power it makes. The key to these heads is great power on low boost. There is plenty of talk about deck thickness limiting boost level due to pushing water.

    Is it just the tune?

I think they are about the same as any other stock casting. There is a TrailBlazer SS that runs 9.0's on the back bumper running them......

Don't buy into the hype.... They are fine and work quite well for more horsepower than most will need or make.

Up until somewhere around 800-850rwhp I wouldn't give it much thought.

I ran LSA heads up into roughly 870rwhp range through a 4L80 trans and had zero issues.

Bumping this...I am curious also about this. Is 700ish rwhp pretty easy to do on lower boost with L92's?

From what I've found in research is you wanna run twins or a big efficient single. I've found 1000+ rwhp combos with these heads but doesn't live long. 7 to 800 I would guess should do fine. Ls9 gaskets,ARP head studs and a good tuner. I was gonna run a t6 475 but seems it wouldn't be in a good efficientcy range not to cause trouble. Gonna go 480 or 82 and run 15 to 18 psi.
