Are there any resources out there where someeone could go with their engine, gear, weight ect ect to get an idea of what size turbos would be the all around best fit

http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/ This works nice, but requires some accurate info in some fields. I would choose gear ratio based off of engine, weight, tire, and intended use vs the opposite.

Using the basic turbo math calcs you find in alot of text books on turbocharging, you can get an idea what pressure ratios and flows you need. THen you just need to look at compressor maps but it doesnt always work out "best". I ran T60's on my car and switched to T70's because on the "maps" that I could find that seem to simulate the turbos, the T70's looked to be more efficient. I ended up running abit slower. Spooled slower and had to run 2psi or so more boost just to get my power back. Lesson learned.

Theyre both excellent sites to visit for calculating any/all combinations. Some of their Notes are also helpful for guys less knowledgable about engine dynamics.
