    I recently sold my (almost) rust-free 29k mile 4-door Fairmont...I always wanted to put an LS-based motor in it. Even if it was stockish with a 4L60/80. It would have been so much cooler than the slug of a straight-6.

    Denmah, are you sure you aren't a long lost twin, you 79 Fairmont LS turbo, Me 79 Merc Zephyer LS turbo, you Bking, me Bking, you gotta admit those are two very odd ball vehicles to have in your possession, at least it proves I am not nuts...

    Fwiw that Bosch 044 you bought is fake. Only real Bosch 044 come in a yellow box with red writing. If you bought it off ebay like that its fake. I've made the same mistake

    Yea didn't you guys block off the steam ports on the truck? I've heard a lot of talk lately about that being the reason behind the #7 cylinder failing so commonly.

    nope, its not fake, i always buy them from jay racing, and they support plenty of power 500+whp so far on their own, i doubt the fakes can do that.

    they rebox them and include a few things for wiring and the AN fittings i ordered with it.

    i think someone posted on the main page, how to spot a fake, it says made in germany if its fake and has a smaller inlet on the bottom, the real 044 says made in czech republic and has a huge opening on the bottom

    we always cut the stock one and the one on the intake and use a cable union.

    ill have to make the truck cable bracket work on this ls1 intake

    Hard to see... is there a large hole on the top/front of the intake, directly behind the throttle body?

    No hole = LS6 intake

    it has a huge EGR hole, i already blocked it.

    installed the 8.8 rear and some new upper bushings, and slammed a football in my right rear spring to pump up for launching...

    had to swap the brake lines and a bleeder from teh old rear, the mustang rear lines were rotted to shit
