    Just wanted to give a word of warning about ignition modules. I had a 7 pin HEI module that was giving erratic results, and Autozone's tester showed it as good. It was basically locking timing and giving very erratic input. What a pain in my ass for a bunch of time.

    +1 for OEM durability- I have run both the MSd and Mallory billet distributors and not had problems, but I still have my original dit and tfi as a backup and as a handy test tool

    When I worked for ford I would see tfi issues but usually it was on old/high mileage cars, and most of the time the real problem started with the stator
