So is the exhaust dumping in front of the rear tires? Would suck to loose a turbo or something and have the exhaust dump oil under the tires.

Very nice its been a while since I have taken a look at this thread.

That radiator looks just like my Ron Davis. I almost spit my drink out when I read you wanted to cut up the shroud to a 1000$ radiator only to find out after reading the rest what the real story was with it.

    Very awesome, downright inspiring build!!

One thing though, I am all about hearing some loud turbo whistling from open exhausts, but those open pipes are going to drone like crazy. My magnaflows droned so bad that I had a migraine after driving the car for an hour. All the horsepower in the world is fun for 10-20 mins, but I didn't enjoy driving the car if it only gave me a headache.

Switched to Dynomax VT mufflers, zero drone.

    Thanks,

    Nice.

Are you making your own intercooler? or you buying one?

I priced up the cores and they are damn expensive!

You know one of the supporters of the site sells air to water units for 150.00 a piece. Sometimes its not worth making it yourself, unless you just want to say you did it.

Why run the cold side into the car if you not going to use an intercooler?

Had to build the intake rear facing to fit under the smaller 2" cowl hood and still have the plenum volume and runner length I wanted. If I would have went with a larger cowl, I could have maybe done a side intake.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Here are some better pics of the intake tubing. Also, I am working on a good way to finish the firewall so its separate from the interior cabin. Not sure if I will keep it like this. Another option is to recess the firewall for the tubing and throttle body. The throttle cable will come from under the throttle body. Only problem I see is having to remove the cowl panel to adjust the throttle body. Not that big a deal. The hood hinges will have seals behind them so the engine should be sealed from the cabin. Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Michael

Thanks. Haven't seen that done before so looks a little off to me, but I think it may be the cleanest way to do it.

I think the throttle body Set up looks fine. The engine compartment would have looked cleaner if each turbo discharge pipe had gone straight back instead of having one cross over the front of the motor. The way you have it will probably be more effeciant though. Just an idea... Looking great as usual.

Woo now there's a neat idea, enough room for them to merge in cowl area, i bet not.

Is the intake attached to the firewall via the t-body? if so, I would be afraid it wouldn't get a proper seal and/or would tear the sheet metal if the ending moved at all.
