gotta see how $$ is this winter, if i convert to auto i probably wont sell the 5sp to fund it

the tracks closest to me arent so busy since the weather got cold, my one buddy made 17 passes that day and stopped because he was low on fuel..lol..(13 sec street car) so yea we've been fortunate

Brian it was awesome. truthfully i didnt even think it was a ten sec pass with the clutch slipping so bad, i was shocked when i got the slip. i really wanna see how fast i can go with this 5sp before making the change to the "magical" trans brake button :D .. and thanks guys for the compliments

    Lmao!! thats awesome!

Randall I had only thought about changing to the newer front end briefly. I still havw the gary markwich spoiler just havent put it on yet. And Its still on the road if you want a ride. Boosredrok, that would have been a low ten sec pass if the clutch didnt slip. My fastest et had an 8mph slower trap than my first pass due to clutch slip..

ok guys i couldnt wait...im switching to a glide. i just bought ricky's trans king powerglide and am excited to see what this "magical" trans brake button is all about. i know im letting you down Brian... but im not selling the tko just yet! this spring i plan to do a crutch system and turn the boost up with the ams500 i havent installed yet. i was gonna dismantle the car this winter and redo the bodywork but im pushing that off til next winter as i am doing an ls1/t56 swap in a fox for my buddy and i just wont have the time.

getting back to the subject anyone have opinions on a torque converter? here is the transmission..

You can use the converter you listed if your glide has a 400 style input shaft. It is the same as saying turbo spline. The glide is converted to turbo spline so it will share same converter as th350 or th400. Also, fwiw it's common for a little trial and error to get the just right converter for the combo.

ordered a converter from lenny at ultimate converter concepts. should be here by middle of april. still undecided on the trans cooler. i drive a lot on the street so i want to go big on trans cooling. next thing is to do a crutch system on my carb. i bought a spare set of brents metering blocks with brpv's. planning to crank this thing up this year.
