Methanol/Gasoline fuel system feasible?

I'm wondering if building a fuel system capable of supporting methanol fuel demand at my setup's peak power potential will allow me to drain the system, swap carbs, and run on gasoline as well. I've looked around and only seen people running duel systems. More of a tire-kicking, "what if," question, but I could see myself actually doing this if I upgraded my turbo setup to the new billet 88mm setup (s400 chassis) or something similar output in twin configuration.

Aeromotive fuel system: currently -10 to and from regulator, -8 to carb, A1000 pump. I'd be needing a belt-drive pump and -12 feed from what I understand to keep up with the meth at ~1200hp at the flywheel right?

~8.7:1 compression 350 inch small block chevy. Not sure what, if anything else, is relevant on my setup.

    Thanks

I am making right around 1200 hp at the crank and I run E85. I have -12 feed to -10 Aeromotive fuel log with the attched boost referenced regulator. It is fed with an Aeromotive Pro-Series electric pump. I have their -12 filter with stainless screen before the pump and their -10 with -12 fittings after the pump right before the carb. I also have dual needle and seat bowls to keep it fed.

I wish E85 was available around here. I was quoted about the price of C-16 to get it in a 55gal drum. That's kinda why I was looking at running meth for races and gas for cruising. Obviously I'm not intending to swap this stuff around weekly or something. Also I run no intercooler.

Thanks though, I forgot they have come out with that eliminator pump. I see it's listed at 1700hp forced induction carbbed, but didn't see how that translates on alky.

I have to apologize for my post. I should have read what you were asking more clear. I have heard the Eliminator pumps are pretty good but I wanted to make sure I had more then enough so I went with the Pro-Series and havent had any issues. I am so lucky to be in an area with lots of E85 gas stations. But I only buy from one company around here. Every time I test them they are always 85%.

Good to hear that at least somewhere they aren't jacking with the mixtures seasonally. I guess my curiosity comes in that I don't see a big deal with running either fuel so long as the system is setup for meth and both the tank and lines are drained and tank topped off after a switch.

Currently use a Quick Fuel 750BAN unmodified carb (probably going to get sent out for some mods this summer) and would use an alcohol specific carb for meth.

Maybe I'm missing something, but meth injection sounds like what are looking for. Run on pump gas and keep a seperate tank for the meth.

This is one company that sells the kits.

No need to switch carbs or components, the extra fuel / potential is always on tap.
