I think CW25 is running them. I have tried several times to get some info. on them but no one would ever elaborate on the mopar sites??
I looked them over and really didn't see much difference between them and the 906 heads.

No, he's running 440source stealth heads. The ProComps are China based backward engineered copies of the victor head. I've never used them, but from what I've heard they are very soft material that ball up in the die when ported and have typical machining issues. You can buy them bare pretty cheaply though.

Well that's all that matters! I'll buy a skid of them.

For a guy that has a machine shop at his disposal they might be just fine. I wouldn't touch a pre-assembled set though. They supposedly did a good job of copying the ports of the victors, so if they don't melt they should make power.

I have MW Victors myself, but two friends have run the ProComps. Our head porter got pretty much identical flow out of the Victors and ProComps, both standard and MaxWedge ported. He loves them, zero complaints about carbide burr clogging or porous material. He also does the off-brand Frog and Chebby ProComp heads and raves about them, from a flow and workability standpoint. One of the standard port ProComp sets went on a naturally aspirated 471 and made 715hp at a lil less than 7,000rpm on a MoPar-specific engine shop's dyno with a roller cam and a 1050 carb.

I've read some bad stuff about those heads, valve guides not inline with seats, junk valves,, and rockers with the wrong offset. These guys on ebay seem to have addressed the problems, except for the possibility of needing to grind a little for pushrod clearence, which may have to do with cam lift, or pushrod diameter. They are also up front with that issue in their listing. They used to show pictures of the valves these heads come with compared to the valves they use to replace them. Read their advertisement. It looks like a great deal. I'm considering a set myself. I just have to figure out how to get them past the wife...lol.

I know this is an old topic, but my buddy just lunched his brand new 446 because of these heads. He bought them direct from Pro Comp and had nothing but trouble from the start. Valves heads were the wrong diameter, machine shop cut them down to fit. Springs were wrong, had to buy 2 sets. Bought 2 sets of rockers and then had to severely modify the Pro Comp specific set to work and to top it all off it broke the head off an intake valve after 18 passes. Wrecked the head, cracked the cylinder, lunched 3 pistons and Pro Comp won't do anything for him. Horrible customer service and a bunch of mismatched junk IMHO.

Right there I think would have been all the red flag I needed to send them back. Once you start remachining valvetrain parts, all bets are off.
