tuned this thing saturday, extremely interesting build, my friend grabbed some video while i was tuning it.

its amazing how it retains both transmissions, electronically shifted bike trans, with lock up clutch from the cruise control levers on the steering wheel... and the regular MR2 trans still hooked up, its like a truckers dream...

stock mr2 fuel pump just does not have enough to meet the demand, so he is going to install a walboro 255lph and i am going to retune for 10psi...

it made 142rwhp on only 4psi with 4deg of timing pulled on 92 octane.

i dont see why it wont make 200ish on 10psi, we will see when i get it back.

I understand being different....but other than sounding annoying and being a turd, is their any other point to this?

Sorry, this is just too weird.

142hp in that little car is not really a turd, 200hp would def make it fun

Annoying and a turd, really? If the motor has any work at all it will make an easy 300 horsepower and 500 is not a unrealistic demand with rods and pistons, not to mention there are 700+ hp busa's out there. Now annoying? Hmm I would love to pass a Vortech equipped 3400lb stang in my 2600lb 400hp MR2 while shifting at 10,800 rpm. I want to do a similar build but with a VW Bug, then we'll have to make it 350 hp, 1800lbs of 10,800 rpm annoying fun .

2600lb hard top and 2780lb t-top. As unique as it is I would make it a show car. This really highlights the skills of the OP and I would use it as a show car and a car to show off what u are capable of.

Not to be a hater or anything but I Thought they made like 200 stock. Time to ditch one of the trannies or the dyno isn't loading it enough or something else is wrong.

That is a very different build, you have the right idea with trying to keep the weight down but you will be missing the torque of a car motor. I have seen a bike motor in a smart car, that looked like fun and with a turbo that would be something to drive!!!! Keep adding power and make a video of it on the street or at the track, keep us posted on the project.

I wonder if the weight of having both transmission negates the weight loss from losing the toyota engine.
