Now I'm past the bumper and on the Parachute mount :bang: (have to upload vid). This weekend was hard on the car, i did get a reading on A/F during the free fall from the bumper, it was 10.4 so it appears that it is rich during this period not lean.

The carb has a ref bung on the side of the base that has a line to the hat, off of the front of the carb base there is a small vac plug that the regulatior line is running from. Should I move that??

Regulator should be on the hat, or anywhere in the compressed air stream before the carb. Maybe your pump cams or squirters are a little too much causing the problem?.?.? Idk, just thinking out loud.

JMO...The fuel regulator really should be referenced to the hat. By putting it below the carb it sees vacuum and when you peddle the car during a wheelie, the vacuum signal is probably dropping your fuel pressure for an instant. But I would think you could see this on your data log???

Is this how your BRPVs are referenced ?

Another thing you might try besides moving the fuel pressure reference line to the hat is adding a vent tube to the front bowl. Just 1-1/2" or so tall above the carb. I know in theory the whistle should prevent fuel slosh on a hard launch or wheelie but on my car it didn't. Mine would leave hard then bog. Added a vent tube and it damn near went on the bumper the next pass. A piece of 5/16" brake line about 2" long should do it and is easy to try. Good luck with it.

I have to agree with vent extentions!
It might be sloshing fuel out only when the headers touch the ground! Hehe

More than likely it is going rich when you pedal it. From how I understand these blow through carbs, the fuel is still dumping in through the power valve circuit when you step off the throttle. It might only be for a split second, but its enough to flood the motor. We had this issue with Will Stevenson's blow through back in the day. That sucked would shut off on the top end when you lifted and if you tried to restart it would belch flames out of the exhaust like you see from a NASCAR racecar from all of the raw fuel in the exhaust.

To solve the wheelies, you need to blip the throttle early enough in the wheelie so that you do not have to completely step off of the throttle. When I drove the TRZ blow through Malibu I had a few wheelies (lol) and it would recover from a quick blip of the throttle, but not from completely stepping off of the pedal.

Well after taking the carb back apart it had the whistle in the back but not in the front, i changed the metering block at the end on last year and I didnt move the whistle over.

Expensive lesson to learn but I put it back in before this weekends race and could peddle without issue, equaling my quickest pass ever [email protected] peddling, thanks guys and Kevin for being patient with me. Another thing is this Ysi is one BAD B%^$Ch!!!!
