What about one of those injector spacer plates with the injectors on each side? Run 4 300's instead of 8 160's. Control it with a batch fire megasquirt. With the injector that far upstream, it would give the alcohol a ton of time to pull heat outta the air. Ash says he sees 200 degree drop over 6 inches on his setup.

I have too much time on my hands to think about stuff like this.

 

That's pretty much what John and Darin tried to do with their car and they couldn't get it to work. I'm not sure if it was a distribution problem or what, but they finally gave up.

I be they would have had better results if the injectors were pointed straight down instead of at each other. The stream would most likely hit each other and cause dropletts to form, and pooling, causing distribution issues. The injector systems out there resemble a venturi, straight up and down, like a carb and it would then let the intake do its work of distribution.

 

I think that is awesome when they crank up the duty cycle, its like a flood gate..... thats for some serious horsepower!

 

Something like the FAST EZ-EFI could probably be made to work. There seems to be some engineering put into that one to get everything to flow right.

 

With the atomizer tip technology on the Moran injectors I think that elbow would have a better shot at working than with regular injectors. Those things have a unbelievable spray pattern. Nice and wide too.

Andy. I was thinking more like that micro squirt you were telling me about. Won't it run 4 low imp injectors?
